About The Course

Overview

This workshop provides CSE students with a practical introduction to generative AI and the development of a small AI-enabled application. Students will learn responsible prompting, understand API-based integration concepts, and build a guided prototype such as a college FAQ chatbot.

Learning Goals

Course Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the Generative AI & AI Application Development course offered under Sage Winter School, students will gain a fundamental understanding of Generative Artificial Intelligence, Large Language Models (LLMs), and modern AI tools. They will be able to apply prompt engineering techniques to generate effective AI outputs, develop basic AI-powered applications and chatbots, and implement AI concepts through hands-on projects to solve real-world problems. Furthermore, students will enhance their creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities while learning to use AI technologies responsibly and explore emerging opportunities in AI-driven innovation and application development.
