Upon successful completion of the SWS workshop, participants will be able to:

  • IoT Implementation: Configure the ESP32 architecture to interface with diverse sensors (DHT22, PIR, IR) and transmit telemetry data to Cloud IoT dashboards (Blynk/ThingSpeak) using MQTT/HTTP protocols.
  • Data Engineering for AI: Apply best practices to curate, label, and preprocess custom datasets (image and sensor data) specifically for training Neural Networks on constrained edge devices.
  • Vision AI Deployment: Develop, train, and deploy Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) on the ESP32-CAM to perform real-time object detection and classification (TinyML).
  • Advanced Connectivity: Design robust communication architectures using LoRa technology to enable long-range, off-grid data transmission where standard WiFi is unavailable.
  • System Integration: Synthesize hardware, software, and AI components to build a standalone "AI Sentry" prototype that detects anomalies and triggers automated alerts.
