Overview
Design in Pixels: Photoshop is a beginner-level course designed to introduce learners to the principles and practices of digital image editing and visual composition using Photoshop. The course focuses on building a strong foundation in essential tools and techniques, enabling students to understand how images can be manipulated, enhanced, and structured into compelling visual outputs.
Through a hands-on, studio-based approach, learners engage in guided exercises and creative projects that cover key areas such as selections, layers, masking, color correction, retouching, typography, and layout design. Emphasis is placed on developing a systematic workflow, attention to detail, and the ability to translate concepts into visually effective designs.
The course also introduces the integration of AI-generated visuals as a supportive tool in the creative process. Students learn how to use AI for ideation, background generation, and visual enhancement, while refining and professionalizing outputs using Photoshop.
By the end of the course, learners will have developed the skills to create well-structured, aesthetically refined, and portfolio-ready digital visuals, along with a deeper understanding of contemporary design practices and tools.

The course is conducted by an experienced design educator and industry professional with over 6 years of experience in design education and practice. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at SAGE University Bhopal, the trainer specializes in design fundamentals, visual communication, and digital design tools.
With expertise in software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, the trainer adopts a hands-on, student-centric teaching approach, focusing on practical learning, creative exploration, and industry relevance. They have extensive experience in conducting workshops on craft-based techniques as well as digital design processes, bridging traditional design thinking with modern tools.
The trainer is also actively engaged in research exploring the integration of AI in design, particularly in enhancing creativity, personalization, and visual communication. This perspective brings a contemporary edge to the course, enabling learners to understand not only the technical aspects of Photoshop but also its evolving role in AI-assisted design workflows.
