He was awarded Ph.D. in Anatomy (Medicine) from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal in 2002. He got trained from AIIMS New Delhi (Clinical & Molecular Genetics, Research Methodology), TATA Memorial Mumbai (Cancer Genetic), St. Johns Medical College Bangalore (Clinical Genetic), Kidwai Institute of Oncology Bangalore (Cancer Genetic), Kasturba Medical College Manipal (Radiation Biology), South West Foundation for Biomedical Research, San Antonio, USA in association with Anthropological Society of India (Molecular Genetic) & Beckman Coulter USA/India (Immunophenotyping).
He discovered active constituents against Skin Melanoma from Water Hyacinth (Jal Kumbhi). He also formulated herbal tea without sugar and tea leaves to reduce side effects of radiation and chemotherapy. I got patent for his formulation (Radiation Protector) extracted from Alpinia (Wild Zinger).
He am the first in the World to develop in-vivo Orthotopic Colon Tumor and metastasis Colon Tumor model in mice for targeted anti-cancer drug delivery.
He had an experience of working as Member Secretary of Institutional Ethics Committee for JNCHRC, Bhopal from 2000 and 2016. He is a Chairman of Institutional Ethics Committee of People’s Dental Academic since 2015.
He has completed 21 clinical and preclinical trials. Three ongoing. These projects were funded by ICMR, DST, DBT, CSIR, MPCOST, MPBTC, Elli Lilly, Cadila, Novartis, Johnson & Johnson, and Apothecaries etc.
He had published 134 scientific publications with a total impact factor of 210.11. He has presented more than 108 scientific papers & 157 posters at International & National Conference. Received 89 best paper and 72 best poster awards. Invited as Guest Speaker/Resource Person 840.
He guided 62 Ph.D & 300 Post graduate Dissertation Thesis. He is a registered Ph.D. Guide in Genetics, Biotechnology, Zoology, Life Sciences, and Pharmacology & Medicinal Chemistry from 7 National Universities.
He has received numerous International & National awards including Humboldt Kolleg Young Scientist appreciation Award (2003 Manipal, Udipi, Karnataka), State Best Scientist (Cancer Research 2013), VISWA (BHEL Society) award for Scientific contribution to state and Nation 2012, UGC sponsored Best visiting fellow Award in Pharmacology, Panjab University, Chandigarh, Punjab twice 2010 and 2013. I had organized “Cancer Awareness Camps” on a regular basis and so far completed 2023 “Cancer and Anticancer Awareness Talks & Camps” throughout Bhopal and nearby places like Vidisha, Khurai, Raisen, Sagar, Rewa, Hoshangabad, Itarsi, Chindwara, Seoni Binaganj, Guna, Mandi Bamora, Sehore, Indore, Chatterpur, Damoh, Khajraho, Piperiya, Shuhagpur, Sarangpur, Panchmari and other remote villages of Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Punjab, Haryana, Jharkhand, Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujrat, Utter Pradesh, Telangna, Andhra Pradesh, Pudochery, Karnataka, Chandigarh . The camps and talk were conducted Live and Virtual. He also conducts awareness talk on running trains and other public places.
He authored an International books on “Dermo Follicular Proliferation”- VDM Muller Publication, Germany & “Cytogenetic Variations in Bhopal Gas Tragedy Survivors” – Lambert Academic.
He is the only specialist in Diagnostic Clinical Genetics, Cancer Genetics, Genetic counselling in the entire Madhya Pradesh State and Chhattisgarh with special reference to Leukemia, Lymphoma, Multiple myeloma, Male infertility, Heritable diseases, Recurrent abortion, Sickle Cell Anaemia, Thalassemia.
He designed Animal house (27 Nation Wide) and Biotechnology Lab (07 Nation Wide).
In addition to scientific background, Dr.Ganesh also received many more awards in Painting, Rangoli, Collage, Clay Modelling & Classical Dance.
He visited Stockholm, Sweden to attend the investigator’s meeting for an International project Drug Trial on Locally Advanced Breast Cancer. Mauritius as a guest speaker in an “International conference on Environmental Research. He is also visited Dundee, Scotland to deliver a talk ‘Innovation in tumor biology and Role of biomarkers in time since death’.
